I’m Char, the creator/manager/main contributor of this blog. I’m also a college graduate, wife, daughter, writer, friend, Christian, feminist, moderate, military brat, and dog-lover. Yeah I think that about covers it. My favorite TV show is “The Office.” My favorite band is Anberlin. I love reading and writing poetry even though I don’t claim to understand it or be good at it.

But seriously now, onto the boring fancy smancy credentials: I graduated from Southwest Baptist University, in May with a B.A. in Communication and Writing with an emphasis in Journalism (a mouthful to say, I know). I’ve interned at local newspapers, “417 Magazine,” and currently with the Marketing and Communications Department of my university. I’m also the managing editor of our student newspaper “The Omnibus.”

My heroines: My mom, Grandma Carter, Great Grandma Edna, Elizabeth 1, Condi Rice, Tina Fey, Esther and Deborah from the Bible, and Laura Bush

My heroes: My Jesus who saved me, my daddy who raised me, and my husband who believes in my dreams more than I do.
